Nicola Wealth is pleased to announce that Stacey Mouadeb, Director, Private Debt, and Tori Buffery, Senior Director, Secondaries, will be featured panelists at the upcoming Women’s Private Capital Summit Canada in Toronto. Building upon the success of the 2023 launch event, the Summit will bring together around 300 accomplished women from across Canada, the U.S., and beyond – including LPs, GPs, and industry advisors – to share insights, facilitate deals, and cultivate new relationships.

Panel Highlights

Stacey will speak on the panel “Private Credit: The Effort to Find Success: What Firms Are Doing to Stay Ahead of the Competition, High Interest Rates, and the Hype.” This discussion will explore how private credit has become a popular sector for institutional investors due to its ability to generate steady returns. The panel will explore the challenges of increased competition, high deal prices, and the impact of sustained high interest rates, offering insights into how firms are navigating these factors and what the future holds for the private credit industry.

Tori will speak on the panel “To Meet the Growing Liquidity Needs of LPs and GPs, the Secondary Market Must…” This session will address the growing reliance on the secondary market for liquidity, as both general partners and limited partners turn to it amidst a closed IPO window and sluggish M&A activity. The panel will discuss the current state of the secondary market, the types of transactions being completed, and the future direction and necessary evolution of this segment.

Event Details:

  • Dates: September 16 – 18, 2024
  • Location: The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto

The Summit features a dynamic agenda delivered in various formats, covering challenges and opportunities from both investor and asset manager perspectives. Topics will span private equity, venture capital, credit, real estate, energy, and infrastructure, with insights from prominent and influential women in each strategy.
