Before joining Nicola Wealth in 2024, Sunny held the role of Managing Director at CPP Investments, focusing on direct private equity investments. During his 16 years at CPP, he played a pivotal role in origination, execution, and asset management across various buyout, minority, and growth equity investments. Sunny's experience also includes establishing CPP's direct investing platform in Asia from 2009 to 2012.

Prior to CPP, Sunny gained expertise in mergers and acquisitions at CIBC World Markets before transitioning to TD Securities. His diverse background underscores his proficiency in navigating complex investment landscapes and his commitment to driving growth and value creation.

As Senior Director, Private Equity, Sunny oversees the investment and expansion strategies of Nicola Wealth's evergreen Private Equity fund.
