Selena Woo

With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Selena brings both a deep passion and a wealth of expertise to her role as Vice President, Private Wealth - Associates at Nicola Wealth.

Selena leads one of the largest teams within the company and plays a vital role in its management, overseeing strategic initiatives aimed at fostering business growth by nurturing and developing talent, building a robust leadership bench, and supporting client-facing teams to facilitate the expansion of the Private Wealth Division.

A graduate of the University of Calgary, Selena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, along with the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations. Beyond her daily responsibilities, she also serves as the host of the Women's LEAD podcast at Nicola Wealth, which is dedicated to celebrating and empowering women from all backgrounds by sharing their stories. Selena's commitment to advancing equity is further exemplified through her involvement as a Steering Committee member of Women's LEAD and her role as co-chair for Nicola's Inclusion Committee.

Selena is actively engaged in her community, volunteering with various organizations such as Junior Achievement, Union Gospel Mission, CPABC, Yell Canada, and the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation. Additionally, she mentors through the Women in Capital Markets Mentorship Program.

In recognition of her achievements, Selena was awarded Wealth Professional’s 2022 5-Star Leading Women of Wealth and the runner-up for the BC Business Women of the Year 2023: Equity and Inclusion Champion.

Outside of the office, Selena is a self-proclaimed food enthusiast who recharges her energy by travelling and spending quality time with her young family, her labradoodle puppy, and friends. Her proudest accomplishment is being a devoted mother to her two children.
