Lara Zink, Vice President Client Service & Development, Delaney Capital Management (Former President & CEO, Women in Capital Markets)

Lara Zink joined Delaney Capital in 2023. She is responsible for client service and development. Lara communicates with clients on a regular basis and provides regular assistance on a wide variety of issues. Lara is also a key contact for potential clients.

Prior to Delaney Capital, Lara was the President & CEO of Women in Capital Markets, a professional network of over thirty-five hundred members dedicated to accelerating equity, diversity, and inclusion in the finance industry.  From 1998-2019 Lara worked for a Canadian bank on the institutional global equity team. Lara served as primary account relationship manager to over thirty Canadian institutional investors delivering trusted insights and opportunities across a range of equity investment products and services.

Lara sits on the board of Special Olympics Canada, is a member of CAMH’s Campaign Cabinet, is a co-founder of Women Funding Women, and is a member of the Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship Advisory Council. Lara holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, the ICD.D, CSC and the Partners, Directors & Senior Qualifying designation.

About the Host - Selena Woo

With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Selena brings both a deep passion and a wealth of expertise to her role as Vice President of Advisory Services - Associates and Operations, one of the largest teams at Nicola Wealth.

A graduate of the University of Calgary, Selena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, along with the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations. Beyond her daily responsibilities, she also serves as the host of the Women's LEAD podcast at Nicola Wealth, which is dedicated to celebrating and empowering women from all backgrounds by sharing their stories. Selena's commitment to advancing equity is further exemplified through her involvement as a Steering Committee member of Women's LEAD and her role as co-chair for Nicola's Inclusion Committee.

Selena is actively engaged in her community, volunteering with various organizations such as Junior Achievement, Union Gospel Mission, CPABC, Yell Canada, and the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation. Additionally, she mentors through the Women in Capital Markets Mentorship Program.
