Leaders shape our organizations, communities, and the world. What I love about our Women’s LEAD segment of Nicola Wealth’s Wealth Exchange podcast is that it brings to life the stories of women from distinctive backgrounds, their lived experiences, and lessons learned.
There is tremendous value, especially as leaders, in recognizing different perspectives in conversations. It is one of the many beautiful skills we have as human beings — the capability to take a different perspective. By sharing our stories and those of others, the personal journey taken through success, challenges, and adversity enhances our authentic curiosity to want to hear and learn more about the perspectives of others. This is the key to evoking compassion and a better understanding of others, to remove bias and cultivate empathy towards other beliefs, experiences, and viewpoints.
Life is a learning journey, and finding opportunities for self-growth, fulfillment, and triumph sparks inspiration in all of us to collectively take action and motivate change.
