Mark Shulgan

Mark is the Co-Founder and Partner of Intrepid Growth Partners, a growth-stage investment fund. Previously, Mark founded and led OMERS Growth Equity, which he launched in 2018. During his time at OMERS, Mark invested $1 billion in private North American software and healthcare companies and served as the chairman of the investment committee.

Prior to joining OMERS, Mark co-founded and then led the Thematic Investing team (now called Venture and Growth Equity) at CPP Investments. During his time at CPP Investments, Mark oversaw a $5 billion investment portfolio consisting of both public and private investments in software, healthcare, and consumer companies located in North America, Asia, and Europe. He also chaired its investment committee and was a member of the Active Equities Investment Committee, which supervised an investment portfolio exceeding $50 billion. Before his tenure at CPP Investments, Mark served as a Vice President at Fortress Investment Group. He initiated his career as an investment banker at Scotiabank.

Mark has held board positions at Dialpad, PandaDoc, Celigo, TouchBistro (as Lead Director), Coveo (as Chair of the Audit Committee), OneEleven (as Chair), Purpose Financial, and the Greater Toronto YMCA (as Chair of the Investment Committee).

Mark is a graduate of Western University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with the Gold Medal distinction, and the University of Windsor, where he received a Master's in Business Administration.
