Before moving into his current role on the Nicola Private Debt team, he spent six years contributing to the firm’s Mortgage Investments strategy, helping grow the platform to over $1.3 billion in assets under management.

Hamish began his career in the commercial lending division at BMO. He holds a degree in Management and Organizational Studies with a specialization in Finance from Western University and is a CFA® charterholder.


Hamish joined Nicola Wealth in 2018 from one of Canada’s largest multinational banks.
