Maria Munar is a Canadian/Colombian visual artist based out of Calgary, Alberta. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with a major in Media Arts from the Alberta University of the Arts 2017. She has exhibited at Banff Center for Arts and Creativity, Gibson Fine Arts, Arts Commons, and Marion Nicoll Gallery in Alberta. She has been the recipient of a Visual Arts and New Media Individual Project grant from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and has attended residencies Arts Commons and AU arts. She is currently working as a Senior Studio Artist at Critical Mass.

Quietly embedded in Alberta’s film community for over 20 years. As a Film technician and stills photographer Colin has worked on numerous projects for local and international productions. Congruently working as a self-taught photographer. Recognized with awards for travel and fine art photography, including multiple project grants from Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Colin has proudly exhibited his photography in several galleries including the Whyte Museum, Art Gallery of Alberta, Esplanade Art Gallery, Illingworth Kerr Gallery, Peter Robertson Gallery and Christine Klassen Gallery.

Cassie lives and works in Calgary, AB.

Cassandra (Cassie) Suche’s work is distinguishable for its delicate balance of structure and spontaneity, expressed through a visual language of linear and modular forms. Suche’s practice is highly experimental, with a focus on process and material research.

The artist’s investigative approach to making has led to the materialization of bodies of work in a diverse range of mediums. She is known for designing her own tools and adopting a systematic, generative approach to production. Her works are both methodical and improvisational, residing in the liminal space between order and disorder. Pattern is at the root of her practice, but within Suche’s work repetition is not just a formal device, it is a transformative process that reveals emergent qualities.

Suche earned a BFA from Leeds Arts University in the UK with a specialization in two and three dimensional surface pattern design. She is currently represented by Ninth Editions (Toronto, ON, Canada) and Paul Kuhn Gallery (Calgary, AB, Canada).

With a degree in European Studies and Art History from the University of Guelph, Marko has taken the road less travelled, exploring the world, and drawing, inspired by the different countries and cultures. Along with his work, he spent four months of the year teaching at a boarding school in Switzerland and traveling with his incredibly loving (and sassy) dog, Sooka. His studio is located in beautiful North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Nicole Katsuras (b. Toronto, Canada) received a Master of Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London, UK and has an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.

The paintings of Nicole Katsuras are uniquely innovative, one of the early pioneers of a technique that involves mixing oil paint into a personal palette of colours, then using an improvised system of irregular mark-making tools to apply the paint onto the surface of the canvas. A single square inch of canvas could support layers of extrusions piled an inch high. For this reason, Nicole was invited to exhibit in Material Matters 2012-2013 at The Courtauld Institute of Art, celebrating both established and emerging contemporary artists who use pioneering media or re-interpret traditional forms of representation. Nicole’s paintings are full of paradox and influence; painterly gestures take from genres diverse as still-life, and portraiture to create figure-ground relationships for the viewer to experience as both objects in space and as an ethereality that is open to personal meaning, joy and wonder.

Carla Joseph is a Métis / Cree artist born in Prince George, B.C. Carla received her key to become an artist in residence at the Prince George Community Arts Council in 2016. She went on to win Art Battle in 2016 and 2018.

Carla has her own very unique style which many people connect with. She loves the way she makes people feel with her art and it inspires her to continue with her gift. Carla loves to challenge herself by taking on many different projects that can be seen around her home community.
