Now, as an adult, Inez is determined to reconnect with her community and her heritage. Known for her strength, resolve and commitment to community, Inez is an Indigenous leader, author, and owner of award-winning Salmon n’ Bannock, Vancouver’s only Indigenous restaurant.

Inez Cook

Inez Cook, a proud member of the Nuxalk Nation and born in Bella Coola, is known for her determination, strong work ethic and commitment to community. She is co-founder and owner of the award-winning Salmon n’Bannock Bistro, Vancouver’s only First Nations restaurant. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Aboriginal Tourism British Columbia.

Ms. Cook is an accomplished public speaker and has spoken at: Xeni Gwetin’s kitchen opening, Young Entrepreneurs Symposium, SFU’s Aboriginal business students and UBC’s Department of Education. Currently, she addresses the students at Vancouver’s United Nations School and mentors other local young entrepreneurs.

For the past 28 years, Inez has also worked in the aviation industry for several airlines enabling her to live worldwide, including Saudi Arabia, India, Egypt, Chad, Nigeria, Indonesia and England.

With over two decades in financial services, Selena brings passion and expert experience to her role at Nicola Wealth. A graduate of The University of Calgary, Selena graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Economics. She also holds her Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations.

Selena is involved with Junior Achievement, providing business education to youth. She is also a member of the Nicola Wealth Women’s Speaker Series’ Steering Committee and the Social Committee.
