As Director of Advisory Services – Associates group, Selena leads the Financial Planning Associates with purpose and positive intent to embrace a culture of empathy and excellence.

Selena is committed to providing her team with the tools they need to succeed, empowering them to believe in themselves and creating an environment in which people can do their best work. She is passionate about making effective mentorship a top priority and aspires to help her team grow and excel in their roles, their careers and as individuals. Her satisfaction comes from the ability to contribute to this in a meaningful and impactful way.

With over two decades in financial services, Selena brings passion and expert experience to her role at Nicola Wealth. Selena’s experience ranges from working for a mutual fund company servicing brokers and financial advisors to working alongside two Investment Counsellors at a large investment management firm servicing high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, and most recently, working for one of Canada’s largest private investment management firms with a focus on institutional clients. A graduate from The University of Calgary, Selena graduated with her Bachelor of Arts, Economics. She also holds her Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations.

Selena is involved with Junior Achievement, providing business education to youth, she is also a member of the Nicola Wealth Women’s Speaker Series’ Steering Committee and the Social Committee.

Outside of the office, Selena is a self-proclaimed foodie, enjoys arts and crafts with her kids, and exploring cabin life throughout B.C.
