In his role as Manager, Advisory Services – Associates, Max is focused on perpetuating and growing the award-winning culture at Nicola Wealth to help the talented Wealth Planning Associate team succeed to their full potential.
Prior to joining the Nicola Wealth team, Max led a team in the portfolio management function of an independent wealth management firm in Ottawa, Ontario. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and holds both his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations. Max is passionate about teaching financial literacy to the next generation and executes this through his volunteer work with Junior Achievement. In 2022, Max was recognized nationally with the Royden Richardson National Volunteer Award from Junior Achievement Canada for his volunteer work in Ottawa and Vancouver.
Outside the office, Max enjoys training his border collie, playing golf, baseball, and exploring BC Parks.

All over the place: from reggae to blues to drum and bass. My stepfather is an accomplished blues/jazz musician, and my brother is a successful electronic music producer.
Would you bungee jump?
Yes, and I have in Quebec at the great Canadian bungee outside of Chelsea, QC (North America's largest bungee jump).
Right now, Bread and Butter Chardonnay has been a favourite, but of course it depends on the pairing as I am usually a red wine person.
