Last week, we reported that RBC’s advisors manage, on average, $165.2 million each — making it the highest AUA per advisor of the Big 5 banks.

The number came from Scotiabank analysts who’d combed through firm financial statements to determine AUA, number of advisors and AUA per advisor as of December 31, 2015.

A spokesperson from Nicola Wealth Management, a Vancouver-based boutique, tells us their 20 advisors managed a total of $3.9 billion as of December 31, 2015, putting their AUA per advisor at $195 million per advisor. That’s $30 million more than RBC’s stat. Using the new information from Nicola Wealth, we’ve updated the Scotiabank analysts’ rankings.
